Trucking along..

N got a book that converts into a truck for his birthday. It lasted three days before it ripped due to trying to fit too many of his animals in the car.

I don't think trucks are suppose to bend that way..

Sometimes I think his finger gets stuck in his nose.

Eyes & ears!

N has been able to point to his different features/body parts for awhile now but I was finally able to get him to do it on video!  His favorite thing right now is his belly button.  He also loves to find and touch stranger's belly buttons which has made for some awkward moments for us.  Here's the video: http://youtu.be/p-i3uIVx_-Q

Rainy Day

I misplaced my child for a second this morning but found him sitting on our heater, reading his book, surrounded by his toys. What a fabulous place to be on a dreary rainy day.  Unfortunately there was no room for me to squeeze in next to him.

We took N to a restaurant in the Dells where they deliver your food on a train. His two favorite things combined: food & trains (but mostly food)!

Egg hunt

Before the Easter egg hunt at my parent's house...

In Wisconsin egg hunts take place in the snow..

This year we had spectators  (Because they are still to young to hunt eggs themselves & even if they were old enough their moms and dads can't seem to give up their own childhood egg hunt).

N: "My mom's number 1!"

Baby J:  "More than I can say about my mom who gets last place every year!"

N: "Do you see how good my mom is doing hunting eggs?"
Baby J: "Actually from this higher view both our moms are looking pretty pathetic out there."

Our rankings!  (In my defense of 3rd place, I went for the eggs in a THORN BUSH giving me a handicap in the hunt-Thanks Easter Bunny).

The babies preferred playing with fake apples over eggs anyway.

 Being up for sunrise service at 7am was a hard work for a baby that usually sleeps in until 8:30.

Honk your horn!

My mom and Nolan got approximately 100 semis to honk their horns, disrupting the small town in Wisconsin's peace and quiet.  Here's a video: Honk your horn!

Easter Bunny!

This year was N's first time meeting the Easter bunny.  I thought he had it SUPER easy as the Easter bunny was a mask-less, non-scary, pretty girl... but I was wrong.

Baby J: "Stop headbutting me!"  We won't get candy if you don't behave!"

N: "Do you realize that we are being held by a GIANT bunny?!"

 Baby J: "What?! Now I'm starting to get scared..but I can't turn my neck to look because you are all over me!"

J & N: "This is the worst day of our lives. Why are our mom's laughing?  We will never recover from this."

N:"Grab my hand, I'm going to try and catapult you out of here!"
Baby J: "Oh my gosh I just got sideways glimpse of the Giant!"

Easter Bunny: "I'm pretending to smile and act like this is funny but please come get your #(&$ babies!"

                                    Baby J: "We better still get candy."

Basketball hoop!

Rocky

Our friends got N his first Zhu Zhu pet, Rocky.  N and Rocky had a very tumultuous relationship which ended in Rocky's ultimate demise (I watch too much Dateline..it was really just my hair stuck in his wheels that ended Rocky).

In the beginning N acted like Rocky was a mouse on the loose.  He would watch him closely but run and scream if it got too close to him.

But when Rocky wasn't moving N loved him.

He even considered Rocky good enough to play amongst his trucks since he had wheels.

After my hair got stuck in Rocky's wheels he became immobile and his cute little beeping noises turned to sad whimpers.  N was very concerned so I've put him away until I have time to operate and cut him loose from my long hairs. I'm also getting a haircut this week.

Harmonica

N learned how to play the harmonica last weekend at my parents house. He is already using his skills to try and win over the ladies. Baby J was definitely not impressed with the song he played her. Here's the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MxN7uKnugcQ&feature=youtu.be
