Door County!

We went on a  family vacation with my parents and brother's family this summer.  And unfortunately N's finger was stuck up his nose in half of the pictures I took.

He definitely gets that habit from his dad..but luckily I did get some other pictures too.

                              Nolan experiencing his first rock beach (All he wanted to do was chuck the rocks at people.. so we lasted approximately 5 minutes at this beach).

N's first fish boil (OBVIOUSLY was not impressed...)

NOlan the Explorer..

Walks with N have been quite the experience lately.

Our "walks" mostly consist of sprinting..

(While running backwards and taking his picture I tripped and fell...hence N's shocked face).  

 Approximately every 5 steps something in a yard captures N's attention that he MUST explore.

 He acts like a mix between a groundskeeper and Christopher Columbus..

 

Squirrels & boats have been our biggest walk distractions lately..

And he must get up close and personal to examine the trash and stones in people's yards..

We also usually get a little sidewalk jog action (that I think he learned from watching the "Gangnam style" video).

And then it's on running to the next yard..

 I'm just hoping the neighbors aren't looking out their window..

N took some time out of his busy day to just stop and smell the flowers..

Cookie bribery

Lately taking N grocery shopping has been quite the feat.  He refuses to sit in the cart anymore and if I let him out of the cart he runs around screaming and throwing cans of spaghetti..UNLESS I bribe him (my parenting skills at their finest!)

This is our bakery section in our grocery store.  It's our family's favorite place.  It's our second home.

N's favorite are the colored butter cookies.

"I want them ALL!!!"

"Excuse me, can I get some help down here??"

And then he gives the bakery man this face.  And it lands him a free cookie every time.

From personal experience let me just tell you giving the baker this face doesn't work for everyone.

Walk with Goldie

 N has been insisting Goldie joins us on walks lately..

  

Every block he had to stop and give Goldie hugs..
