Happy Monday!
Nolan had his first early morning Saturday garage saleing experience with me this weekend..while he didn't seem to have any fun he did get a $7 tux for when he's 2 years old..I'm sure he will be ecstatic about that in a couple years.
Hans left for San Diego this morning for work and Grandma Jefferson came last night to help with Nolan (Since he's SUCH a monster)! He tried sneaking in his Hans' suitcase this morning but luckily we caught him..
Hope everyone has a great Monday! So far besides being projectile vomited on this morning it's been a good day!

The Draft..
Happy FRIDAY!!!
I don't know about some of you but I haven't seen my husband in 2 nights. He's been too busy watching the beloved DRAFT. Nolan has gotten into it as well....
It's pretty monumental to even get a look my way..
And no matter how much disinterest I show Hans still has to narrate to me which guy gets picked...I should have gone out drinking...

Happy 5 Months Nolan!
Happy Tuesday!
Nolan is 5 months old today! To celebrate we started him on his first nasty baby vegetable...green beans!

Surprisingly he liked them (if he actually got any in his mouth)! Then it was Hans' turn to try while I took pictures of Nolan. However, I found it really hard to concentrate on Nolan when Hans was subconsciously making "open wide" faces with his mouth.
Getting a little weird and out of control at this point ..
At the end Nolan had enough of Hans missing his mouth and grabbed the spoon himself.
Happy 5 months old Nolan Ty!

Showers are Overrated..
Happy Thursday!
I hate showering. I know people think this is strange but I can't help it that I'm not a fish. And I have plenty of ways to get away with not showering (Like a spray you put in your hair to make it look less greasy, if this fails I side braid my bangs, perfume, bright colored outfits, extra makeup). Its not like I REALLY have a problem. I shower every other day which my beautician says is perfectly normal. It's not like in college my friends had to have an intervention for me to shower or anything...
Fortunately my son didn't inherit this trait from me and he loves his sink baths.

Ok so he doesn't love it so much when Hans is washing his backside..can't say I blame him this looks painful.
All clean! (One of us anyway...)

Sophie!
Happy Wednesday!
Nolan got a new toy...Sophie the giraffe. She is foreign but I'm sure you've heard of her. Nolan has wanted one ever since I decided on Nolan's giraffe themed nursery but I hadn't gotten around to buying it for him. It just happened my friend sent Sophie to him last week! Thanks Kelly! (now he can stop begging me for it)

We've only had 2 close calls when Banks has ran off with Sophie..it doesn't help that she squeaks! We love foreign Sophie!!

Hans the heathen!
This last weekend we went back to Wisconsin for my High School friend's wedding, Steffi Margaret. There are a couple key things I remember about the trip home....
#1
As we arrived at the catholic church for the wedding we were seated in the back pew. Hans went to hand me Nolan because he had to go to the bathroom (go figure) and as he did he toppled into the stand of holy water. As the stand rocked back and forth, everyone held their breath for the outcome (I secretly praying that it would topple over). Unfortunately to all watching it didn't fall over...but enough holy water was spilled on Hans & Nolan for a pretty good blessing. Hans probably committed a huge Catholic sin by spilling the water..I'm pretty sure he's guaranteed to go "you know where" now. But he was very remorseful and even offered to go downstairs to the drinking fountain to fill it back up.
#2
Nolan learned sign language. My mom had 5 books and one video on teaching babies sign language. Yes I reminded my mom he is only 4 months old & no he is not deaf...She said it is never too early to learn. She also swears he made the sign she taught him for "cookie" at one point in the day. This would not surprise me as he is Hans' child. At least he will be more sign lingual (is that a word) than me who only knows flipping people the bird.
#3
The wedding reception we went to was "make your own alcoholic drinks" for free. Thankfully Nolan was at home with grandma and grandpa. Hans and I started out with a Jaeger bomb. Then I didn't see Hans the rest of the night as he was too busy being his own bartender. Regardless it was a fun night. My 9 month pregnant friend Katie was gracious enough to take us to taco bell at midnight and then drive us home. Hans said the next morning if he had a taco shell he could have made himself a taco with all my taco droppings I spilled in the car.

Easter in Arkansas
Hans, Nolan, Banks and I traveled to Arkansas to visit Hans' family this Easter! We left Thursday night and stopped over half way in Kansas City to spend the night because we were all getting pretty crabby at that point...mostly me.
We picked a "dog friendly" hotel but we still had an elaborate plan to sneak Banks in so we didn't have to pay the extra pet cost. Our elaborate plan was quickly fading when we realized the hotel was under construction and we only could go through the FRONT door..and then all hope was lost when Banks got loose and started running the halls. It didn't help that Nolan was loudly giggling as we did our whisper yell for Banks to come back. The front desk lady nicely asked Hans to sign papers to register our dog and we complied acting innocent as can be.
In the morning we got the suprise bill EXTRA $100 for having a dog! "PET FRIENDLY HOTEL? More like PET RAPE!" were Hans' words about the bill.
My first thought was... Take our dog!! he isn't even worth $25!!
Hans' first thought was getting his moneys worth which involved having Banks jump up on the bed and rub his butt everywhere and having Banks take a big dump in the hotel's front terraced lawn. (which I'm sure they have under surveillance and will add another $100 on to our credit card.)
We made it to Arkansas Friday and then the fun began! We went to a brand new Art museum "Crystal Bridges". If I were in to art it would have been an amazing experience!
Gretchen took all the above pictures for me so I could see all the art that I rushed through and missed... while I was busy checking out the HUGE ELEVATOR!!
It didn't help Banks got front seat and Nolan and I were smooshed in the back.

Don't worry I have more pictures of it..
Unfortunately Nolan slept through the whole elevator excitement..He would have been so excited too!
Here's a couple of Nolan and his auntie GG at Crystal bridges!
And his uncle PP!

Happy Sunday! Nolan's best bud, Parker, came over to visit the other day!
Parker began the taste testing of Nolan...
Then Nolan tried Parker out...
Going for Nolan's arm..
Done eating each other..
Nolan loved Parker's toys
I'm definitely going to have a stealing baby on my hands...
They were too cute..
Future trouble for sure! :)
